this part - system is a LongTerm Trendsystem with a special Filter. It is about 30% of the year long or short at market.

here some screenshots from my Tradingsoftware to understand what system#1 does...

it´s a screenshot from Sept 2012 until now (Aug2013)
the system had a good run on the long side, currently is it flat.

now a screenshot from End 2011 until the begin of 2012:

you could see a good long and an good short trade and on the right side a loss with a short trade

and now some short trade from bad 2008 -the system works well at these poor market conditions:
